As many of you know, I am the Game Operations Manager for the Golden State Warriors.  As many of you also know...WE ARE IN THE PLAYOFFS!  If you didn't know, now you do.

I say all of that to say this, I am working my tail off!  It's a GREAT busy, but busy none-the-less.  Needless to say, when I am not working, I am doing as little as possible and SUPER casual.

While we all know I love a fierce heel, after standing in those bad boys all game, these days in my off time, you are more then likely going to catch me in a flat (a fabulous one of course). I'm a huge fan of these MIA flats that I picked up for under $50 at Nordstrom Rack. They are comfy and blinged out. What's not to love?

The oversized dress shirt from Collage Clothing Lounge is one of my go-to casual shirts.  It's one of those "feels like pajamas but doesn't look like pajamas" kind of shirts. Win-Win situation.

One thing I always have to have in my casual fit is a pop of something.  Whether it be color, texture and/or print it must add an extra something to the equation. These tall ankle, animal print skinnies from Old Navy do the trick.

What about the frosting for a casual look?  I say go big or go home. I chose to go chains and more chains for this look but whatever you choose, in my humble opinion, do it big.

And for the piece de resistance, THE HANDBAG! My new love from Long Tall Sally (Yes. They have accessories too!).  It holds everything, is very well made and the color is perfect for this season and seasons to come. Want something a little louder?  It comes in red too.  Approved investment piece.

Now that you have the 101 on my casual look, what's yours?

Boyfriend Material

So, if you haven't noticed, I am on a dress kick lately. I am obsessed with them and one in particular is the Boyfriend Shirt Dress from Height Goddess. Oh how I love thee! Let me count the ways:

1. It is an appropriate high-low dress.  We have all had that moment when we try one on in the store and our lady is peeking out in the front and the "low" in the back is barely covering our buns.  Great for a laugh but not something one should ever wear in public.  The Boyfriend Shirt Dress alleviates all of that being just the right, sexy length for us.

2.  It's versatile. The dress has built in tabs that enable you too roll the long sleeves up.  I wore the dress to a graduation this past weekend.  I left the sleeves long for the graduation, then rolled them up and added a belt for the actual party.  I got compliments in both settings.

3. The print. It's FAB. Enough said.  If you don't agree. No judgement.  There are 2 more colors: fuchsia and black.

Another thing I am obsessed with is platinum and silver frosting. They are THE fierce metals of the season. I paired the dress with some of my new pick-ups including one of my favorite finds, the pointed-toe platinum pumps from Target!  I went in for milk and came out with some killer shoes.

By the way, I know you are probably like Alicia is trying to fit her size 12's into 11's...that is not cute.  The answer is no.  I am certainly not.  I just happen to be able to wear some brands in size 11, especially in a pointed-toe shoe.  That is all.

So...you have seen how I rocked the Boyfriend Shirt Dress, how would you?

Summer Lovin

Isn't 6'2" Mollie O'Neal werking these dresses out!!! Photo credit: Tim Corey Photography from HeightGoddess.comWow.  I posted this image on my instagram and facebook of the new tall summer dresses from Height Goddess yesterday and the response was "I WANT NOW!" Ok, so there were a bunch of different responses but that's the gist of it.

With that said, I wanted you to get all of the info so here are the direct links and my thoughts about the FIERCE frocks (don't worry I won't charge you for the thoughts):

I put this dress first because it is my FAVORITE! The slits and that beautiful rich color...TO DIE FOR! Now, we all know that I wouldn't really die for this dress but it's absolutely insane, crazy, beautiful! And I don't know about you, but I can't wait for my long legs to be showcased by this amazing dress...ow! It comes in 67" and 71" in sizes 4-16. Length is from shoulder to hem. This is taking the phrase "I hate to see you go BUT I love to watch you leave," to a whole new level! The Natalia makes a FIERCE statement and the color talks a lot too. L-O-V-E. Comes in 67" and 71" in sizes small to X-Large. Length taken from the top of the shoulder to the hem.

This dress is fun, flirty and best of all, THE APPROPRIATE SHORT LENGTH. You know what I am talking about. "In the stores" short is a potholder for us. It covers nothing and doesn't hit the right spots on our beautiful, tall frames. This skater dress is built for us, so the short length is actually short and not mini. 38" in length. Comes in sizes 4-16. Yellow and black options. Length is from the top of the shoulder to the hem.So there you have it.  All of the details on the tall, HAWT, summer dress line from Height Goddess.  And guess what?  This isn't everything.  HG will be unveiling more new summer styles soon and guess who will be here to keep you updated? Tall, ol' me of course:-)

Dress Me Up

Mesh and Jersey Dress - Long Tall Sally/Shoes - Nine West (size 12)/Belt - Dillards Outlet/Earrings and bag - Target

Who doesn't need a timeless black dress in their closet?  Little Black dresses are there in many times of need.  They can be used for multiple occasions, morphing from cocktail attire to a day of shopping with friends.  They are the base of many amazing outfits and a fashion friend you can always count on.

Now that I have professed my love for the LBD, let me present the Mesh and Jersey Dress from Long Tall Sally. It is one of the most comfortable dresses I have worn and hits where a dress should hit, both in the waist and above the knee.  The mesh gives it a touch of elegance and the neckline makes the whole look of the dress super polished.  TallSWAG personified.

I wanted to add a pop of color so I broke out my new bag from Target.  I love the black and white paired with the textured, pop of color.  My earrings were also another Target find.  The belt was from the Dillards outlet in Houston (btw go there if you can.  I picked up $800 worth of clothing and accessories for under $200) and last but certainly not least my shoes from Nine West.  They are definitely some of my old faithfuls.  I have had them for years and can't stop wearing them.  In fact, I need new tips on them as we speak.

So there you have it.  A tall LBD by LTS that needs to be seen!  How do you rock the little black dress?

NOT Sorry Charlie

Charlie V-Neck Blouse - Height Goddess/Laura Madison Premium Skinny Jeans (38" inseam) - Tall Snob Store/Vince Camuto Halle Pump (size 12) - Nordstrom/Gold Clutch - H&M/Neck Piece - Forever 21

After my last post about loud bottoms (wait...that doesn't sound right), I got a ton of emails asking me about the top so here is the skinny on the Charlie V-Neck Tall Women's Blouse from Height Goddess:

IT IS AMAZING!

The arms are super long and the cut is great. It hits right below the waist in the front and goes a little longer in the back but not too long so it doesn't look frumpy.  It also has a very tasteful yet un-grandmaish scoop neck so you look fresh and cute.  Lastly, the sheer material has just the right amount of flow but doesn't dress the shirt up too much which maintains the versatility of the top.

That was an almost scientific way of saying that this top is FIERCE.  I also love the color but if you aren't keen on it's vibrancy, no worries, it comes in a bone and black color too.

In this instance I paired Charlie with some skinnies from the Tall Snob Store and my new shoes from Vince Camuto that I am obsessed with.  The pastel colors and reptile print just do something to me.

So, what do you think about Charlie?

Started from the Bottom

One of the hottest spring/summer trends is the statement pant.  From stripes to floral to animal, the louder the pant, the better.

Right now my favorite tall pair of bottoms are these tall Geo Jacquard print pants from Next.  They have a 35" inseam and hit exactly where they should on the leg.  The fit is impeccable and they have just the right amount of stretch.  They are also black and white which is another must have for the season.

I love these tall Geo Jacquard Trousers from Next. They make any outfit look polished. I paired them with a Charlie v-neck blouse from Height Goddess, bone pumps from Vince Camuto and a neck piece from Forever 21. Want another way to follow TallSWAG?
