There is a newbie in town and I am so excited to tell you all about it! Wait for it...The Limited launched a new Tall Shop! Yep. It's brand spankin new and I am here to tell you all about it!

First, I absolutely love the quality. These pieces feel great and are constructed really well. Not only are they constructed well, the proportions are gravy! The line is actually crafted to fit our long, beautiful limbs and areas that particularly matter to us like rise, inseam and even the bend at the knee. Let me break it down for you...

The Tall Lace Detail Blouse is plenty long in the body and the arms hit right where they should. I am always a skeptical one when it comes to the arm length of "tall" blouses but this one actually came correct. The detail on the blouse is amazing. No accessories needed with this baby.

Now for the Tall Inset Skater Skirt. Again, skeptical city. Was it going to cover the buns? Yeah buddy! Not only does it cover them, it hits where a skater skirt is supposed to hit. Well, fancy that! It is a great piece and the flow of the skirt just makes you feel like a pretty princess.

As if the tall line wasn't enough, The Limited has some amazing accessories too. This mini Dome Satchel is the perfect little sidekick. It holds everything nicely and you can cross body or carry it.  It polishes off the pretty.

The full collection looks stunning. There are many tall options in the LTD Tall Shop from jackets to suiting to versatile dresses, giving you ample opportunities to mix and match. A little birdie also told me that they will be offering select Scandal items in tall in September...and all of the tall girls squealed at once!

Floral Goodness

Sniff sniff, wipes tears. Alas, the last days of summer are upon us. According to the web...only 50 which is a little over 7 weeks, which is not even 2 months, which quite frankly sucks.

With that said, we still have some time left to break out those tanks, throw on that swimsuit and rock summer styles like there is no tomorrow (unless it's 49 days from now and tomorrow is fall).

One of my fav fits this summer has involved these tall, floral shorts from ASOS Tall. Yes, they are short but usually short shorts don't even hit mid-cheek on us, so for me the short-tall length that ASOS Tall has is a winner.

I paired the floral beauties with a denim shirt that had the same flow as the shorts, a little Forever bling to balance the beauty of the floral pattern and some pretty purple shoes because who doesn't love pretty purple shoes? The clutch is one of those finds that makes you giggle. Cute + $5.99 = Going home with Alicia.

Where Brooklyn At

Hello tall, beautiful people! I know...I haven't posted in awhile and that's because I was on vacation (insert vacation dance here)!

I went to one of my favorite places ever...NEW YORK! Brooklyn to be specific. I love everything about it. There is actually not one bad word I could say about BK so you can imagine how amazing my vacation was! It all started here... 

Fresh off the red-eye, I was greeted by my very own Subway station! That's my story and I'm sticking to it. 

I did my wonder woman spin (aka freshed up) and spent the day enjoying the Borough, eating and most importantly eating. It was a fabulous, laid-back day. I felt cute and carefree in my dress from Akira and flat sandals from Payless (size 12). 

The next day I went to church and on the way back to my hotel met an amazing lady. Her name is Miss Dorothy. She approached me in the sweetest way possible and asked me how tall I was. After telling her, she complimented me on my height and told me that is was beautiful. It was so lovely and quite frankly one of the highlights of the trip. It's just a reminder that we are surrounded by amazing people and that we shouldn't let the occasional rude person spoil the bunch. 

Later that day, I changed it up a bit from the church fit (ok...a lot bit) and put on my tall leopard bodysuit and culottes from ASOS Tall. It was the perfect day-to-night outfit because all I had to do was change the flats to heels for instant night glam. Comfy-cool in the city by day and chic in the city by night. 

Now, in my life, work and play are always paired together so I had a little 2 day stint right in the middle of my BK adventure where I attended a conference. During the conference we had an outing which was a night cruise to Liberty Island. I challenged Lady Liberty to a height battle and won. I definitely brought it this time. 

I spent part of my last day in BK celebrating two amazing people, My friend Amanda's Mother and my Dad. Both of them were named Ollie and we miss both of them immensely. We decided to pay tribute to our Ollies by placing a lock for each of them on the beautiful Brooklyn Bridge. Since birth, my Dad always told me that he loved me all the way back to the elbows. It's something that I cherish. It will forever be in my heart and now it resides on the Brooklyn Bridge. Love you Daddy!  

Last, but certainly not least, I had one last dinner in BK with some friends. It was a night of great food and even better company. I am still elated that they now have styles up to size 12!

I live for an amazing white dress. They are super hard to find because white isn't the most forgiving color in the world. The wrong cut and you will grossly misrepresent yourself. That's why I absolutely fell in love with this white hot dress from the ASOS Tall line (did I mention it's only $41.92).

It has super clean lines, the fabric is very forgiving and the arms are super long! Bottom line, it's a show stopper. Now, please believe I have a nude body shaper on underneath. Not so much for the shaping but for the foundation. After all, it's a white dress and my Mama would kill me if I didn't wear something underneath to make sure you couldn't see through it. Slips are not my thing, so I opted for the body shaper (that I picked up from Target for $16.99) and it worked out beautifully.

With a dress like this...who really need accessories!? Thus I opted for simple, metallic pieces that compliment but don't steal the show. I love a great metallic piece because it gives a pinch of pizazz but still keeps it neutral.

Hold on....wait for it...SOLE SOCIETY HAS SIZE 12'S!!!

Yes hunni. You read that all the way right. Sole Society now has some amazing styles in sizes up to 12 with more on the way.

I received my first pair last week and I absolutely LOVE them. They are the Ashton, in pale almond, in size 12. They fit perfectly (true to size) and were comfortable on the first wear. Do I need to mention that they are HOT? I mean just look at them. Buckles, straps and texture...oh my!

They are constructed very well and the buckles are adjustable but once you adjust them, there will be no need to buckle them again because there is a full zipper in the back that makes them easy to put on.

I am also obsessed with these Print Jersey Pants from Long Tall Sally. They are SO comfy (you feel like you are wearing pajamas without the embarrassment of wearing pajamas) and add a little punch to your casual wear. That, combined with the awesome length, makes them a win-win in my humble opinion.

Try to hold back your tears of joy! Alloy just released a TON of new tall apparel on their site today including (drum roll please) SHOES UP TO SIZE 13! Are you still there? Did you pass out?

Let's start with the shoes...eeek...so excited! They have over 70 shoe options that come in extended sizes. All go up to size 11 and some go up to size 13. All of the prices are below $49.90 with some of the flats just $9.90 when you buy 3 or more.

The new jumpsuits and overalls stole my heart. I mean did you see the back of the red one? Melting. All of them come in inseams up to 37". Swoon.

Now...the long dresses aren't long enough for me (almost there but not quite) however they are amazing and come in lengths up to 63". Hey jeans and pants! Can you all just make a single file line and walk right into my closet? Alloy Tall has jeans and pants with inseams up to 39". They are always on trend with budget conscious prices. The options pictured above are all under $56.90. Yes. You read that right.

Maxi skirts! You may or may not have seen my last post...but I love me an Alloy tall maxi skirt! The new styles are awesome, can be worn in any season and come in lengths up to 45".

Some Alloy ordering tips...now these are just my opinions from my experience and by no means law but they are here to inspire if needed:)

1. I always order a size up. I get a 13 or an XL and normally I would get a 10 or L.

2. Always Google Alloy coupon code before ordering. Alloy has sales all of the time and great ones at that. They often have the infamous $20 off coupon. Winner winner, chicken dinner.

3. Check the reviews. They are posted on the site next to item. They really help for sizing and quality purposes. In addition, after you get and wear your garment, write a review and help a fellow tall girl out with her order. 

Last but certainly not least, Alloy launched ALLOY PLUS today with sizes up to 25 and 3XL. Many of the plus styles come in extended lengths as well so be sure to check them out!
