Watch Shyra Werk

I absolutely LOVE when I get pictures of you wearing your T SWAG.  It makes my life:) I get all giddy, run around showing everyone the picture and then follow it up with more giddiness.

This morning was no different.  I jumped on twitter and what do I see on my TL, Mrs. Hoops Meets Heels herself werkin the T SWAG Stop Staring at Me shirt.

If you don't know Shyra Ely-Gash...please acquaint yourself with her amazing blog.  Hoops Meets Heels is a blast of fashion fabulousness (and I am not just saying this because she gave me an amazing, very flattering write-up, although I can't say that it didn't make a tall girl feel great!:).

She is absolutely, unequivocally, werking the hell out of her tank (as you know all of us glamazons do. Side note: that word is permanently integrated into my vocab).

Check out Shyra's look and make sure, you put her blog in your daily reads and please send in your werk it pics in your T SWAG to info@TallSWAG.com because I will be posting a T SWAG look book soon:)

Tall is Beautiful! Whisper it, say it, scream it.  I don't care how you do it just as long as you are letting someone know.

FEATURE: Invading Spaces on Style Bust

Recently I had the pleasure of welcoming Style Bust into my home.  This amazing blog has a feature they call 'Invading Spaces' where they, well, invade the spaces of bloggers and get to know more about the person behind the blog. I really love the concept and am honored to be picked for the feature:)

Click the pic below for the full post. Go ahead...invade my space!

DIY: Just Fringe It

As many of you know, I had an amazing photo shoot with Height Goddess last weekend.  I shot a bunch of fabulous looks for their fall line.  One of them included an amazing fringe scarf.  In addition to all of the HG clothing, I wanted it IMMEDIATELY however when I looked it up online, I did not want to pay for that bad boy.  The price took my breath away and made my wallet whimper.

So I decided to take things into my own hands, literally, and make my own fringe scarf.  It was SUPER easy and FREE99.  All you need is a t-shirt, scissors and some man power.

Find an old t-shirt. You can use any size. I am using a solid color but a t-shirt with a print makes a FAB scarf too. Then cut across the shirt right under the pits of the tee. Side note: this should go without saying BUT just in case...please make sure you washed the shirt. If you don't, that's just gross. Start cutting that fringe from the bottom up. It doesn't have to be perfect. You can cut it as long or as short as you want to. The only thing you need to be careful of is cutting them too close together and actually snipping a piece of the fringe off. This will create a hole and throw the whole thing off. After you cut all of them, pull those suckers apart.FINITO! You are done. Put it on and style it up. I am wearing mine at work today and have been getting all sorts of compliments. Take that expensive scarf (I still love you too though)!

Reunited

A couple of my friends from college were in town the other day.  I hadn't see them since I graduated (please notice the amount of years has conveniently been left out of the post).

Our plan: free concert in the park followed by happy hour (shirley temples for everyone:).

What to wear?

You don't want to go super dressy for the park or under dressed for happy hour.  My answer: skinnies, my most comfy pair of heels, flowy shirt and a pop of color to spice things up.

Now, you are thinking, white jeans at the park? I know. Risky. Don't you worry.  I defintely brought a back-up pair in the car but it was so sunny and the jeans fit so well that I couldn't not wear them.

The day went off without a hitch and we all looked smashing (british accent voice).

What would you wear to a reunion with the girls? Send your looks to info@TallSWAG.com.  We want to see too:)

Bloggin Like It's 1999

I'm a blogger who loves to read blogs.  We are so amazing and share so many things with each other. I can't NOT read them.  I take 'blog breaks' during the day.  It inspires me, recharges my battery and in the least gives me a good belly laugh when I need one.

Below are some of the blogs that I love and why I L-O-V-E them.  Please.  If your blog isn't on the list, don't be mad, sad or otherwise.  It doesn't mean I don't wuv you.

What blog would you invite to the party?  Please share so we can all be there:)

HOOPS MEETS HEELS. Mrs. Shyra Ely-Gash shares her amazing style and grace in this fierce blog. WNBA player, stylist extraordinaire. Side note: I have never seen anyone make post surgery bandanges look so haute. Werk.

LONG.LEGGY.LOVIN IT! Doesn't the name say it all? BAM shares a slice of her tall, fabulous life with us.

HG BLOG. Anyone who knows me, knows that one of the tall shops I love is Height Goddess. When you love something, you check on it often and the blog is a great way to do so.

ALL THE TALL THINGS. According to Laura's about page; 'This is a place to share new clothing finds that make the most of your dazzling height and huge but fashion-worthy feet." Enough said.

PRETTY TALL STYLE. Tanasha gives us a little bit of everything tall. I love her effortless style and eye for color.

ELEVATED STYLE. One of my new finds. Kathy has great personal style posts and I'm a fan of her monthly obsessions.

GABI FRESH. Ok...so she may not be very tall but her SWAG is extremely tall. I, like hundreds of thousands of people love Ms. Gabi's confidence, style and life obsessions.

TALL SNOB. Krista (who is really NOT a snob) gives a well rounded view of tall clothing for every tall woman.

URBAN VINTAGE. I have found a new love for vintage clothing. When I met Ferriss and checked out her blog, I was hooked! Her motto says it all 'It's about having style, not being in style."

TALLOOK. Nache gives 'an inside scoop into fashion, products and news that effect the tall community.'

MOTOR CITY MOXIE. Yes. She talks about fashion BUT her blog is really about everything amazing in life. She is a woman 'emerging into the woman she has always wanted to be' and letting us come along for the ride.
