Take a Picture

No doubt, tall is a beautiful thing. But we all know that sometimes people don't know how to react to it. They see you and can't believe their eyes so they stare uncontrollably like if they stare at you long enough you will shrink down to a more "believable" size.

The madness has to stop!

A quick peek...I can handle...but a rude, blatant, one sided staring contest has to go! I usually ignore it but sometimes you just can't. The worst is at the grocery store. Even aisles can't get in the way of someone going hard on the staring. At many points it actually turns into stalking! If I see you staring at me in more then 2 isles at the store you are now officially a 'peeping tom.'

Just stop. We know the height is amazing but have some manners and keep your staring ways locked down.

Ps. We can't blame the little ones but if your kids are staring in amazement please use it as a teaching moment and don't reinforce the bad behavior by also standing there and doing it. I can't blame a child because they don't understand everything yet. However I can blame you because you should know its rude and should politely correct it.

Please post this so people will understand. The STARE NO MORE movement begins...NOW!

Open Season

I have a confession to make.  Only my first 2 toes are painted today.  I was not prepared.  I woke up to a BEAUTIFUL day and there was no mistake about it...I could officially wear open toed shoes!  However my toenails were definitely not official.  Don't get it twisted, no crispy feet here, but they were 100% not painted.  There was no way I was missing the opportunity to break out of the closed toe jail my feet have been in during these abnormally long winter months but I didn't have time to paint them so I painted the ones that mattered and called it a day.  My 2 toes couldn't be happier:)

Make your toes happy.  Celebrate the start of the Open Toe season with a fresh pair!

Lofty Idea

AnnTaylor LOFT has amazing tall clothes.  They are taylored beautifully (pun intended), cut longer (hence the tall) and are somewhat affordable.  I say somewhat because right now gas is so high that NOTHING seems to be affordable to me, but with prices like $49.99 to $128, somewhat affordable seems appropriate.

Last time I filled my car up it set me back $80 and it pains me that I could have had a great pair of tall jeans, fierce dress or slouchy pants. SMH.  I guess this means I have to buy a bicycle because Alicia Jay needs some AT LOFT in her life!

The Tall and the Short of It

I know this has happened to you at least once or twice.  You are out somewhere and you see a group of guys coming your way.  To your surprise most of the guys are handsome and tall and then they have that one shorter friend that is part of the pack.  He somehow makes his way to the front of the group and like a spotlight finds you first.  You freeze hoping that he skips over you but it's no use...he has claimed you and you are off limits to the other guys in the group.

The guy walks over to you with a line like "Girl...you are a nice tall glass of ice water" and then he follows up with "you know we are the same size laying down."  Wow.  Lines like that will get you nowhere but it still happens all of the time.

I say that to say this...would it be any different if one of the tall guys had spit those lines?  I vote "NO" however in the moment would the height make a difference?  Do we give tall men a pass because they are taller then us and that's what we think we should be with?  Is the short guys problem his height or his tacky lines? And the doozy...do we have to be with a man taller then us to make us happy?
